- Ohio is one of four states that will be taking part in D.C.-based National Skills Coalition’s State Workforce and Education Alignment Project. The project aims to align workforce and higher education programs with industry needs. The announcement was made last week. As part of the project, each state (that’s Ohio, plus California, Mississippi and Rhode Island) will receive $180,000 and technical assistance to implement new data tools the coalition says will help close skills gaps.
